ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Best news of the day.
Johnny Heitinga is in charge while Slothe and his mate are serving time.

Come in agent Heitinga, code blue, code blue 😀😃

Should be stadium bans if a manager gets a red card. Absolutely ridiculous that he’ll just he’s at a few rows behind sending instructions via ear piece anyway, makes the red card completely pointless.

I am actually a bit surprised at how much their heads of gone, in a collective sense. I expected it, but not to this extent.

For me, it is all about the celebration. Some more neutral sites, feeds are now getting onto the joke, saying we celebrated like we won the all the football cups, along with the 6 nations, the ashes, etc. In some context, I suppose it has a tiny bit of short lived humour to it, but on the whole it is because of the celebration that has gone this far, on terms of the volume of heads going.

And it comes down to one simple statement about the mental state that the majority of the cult members are in.

It. was. not. about. them.

It was about the passion Everton fans showed, it was about how football can just simply be joyous, it can be uplifting, and we were the ones that highlighted that. We were the ones the world saw as great fans.

Liverpool fans can’t be happy unless Everton fans are miserable. I’ve made this comment many times over the years, if they won the treble and we won the League Cup the same season it would completely ruin their season. They’d be furious. They really are just narcissists whose primary concern is whether other people are allowed to enjoy something that they can’t join in with. This isn’t a “minority of idiots” either, it’s the vast majority of them. It also isn’t the “out of towners” it’s all of them and in particular scousers to be honest. Scouse reds are the most bitter, unhinged, entitled mouth-foamers of the lot. They’re the ones that go out of their way to bring balloons and bedsheets to football matches.

They gather at Bongo’s Bingo and watch a fella sing very badly with a guitar songs about Liverpool players, not out of pride and enjoyment but purely to try and lord it over other people, that’s also why all their banners say “imagine being us” and other such cringeworthy aggressive nonsense. They don’t enjoy their own success, they just use it to try and make themselves feel like they’re better than other people. There’s nothing in their own lives they can use, because most of the time they’ve never achieved anything at all to speak of and have made football their entire personality, so they piggyback on the achievements of a football club in order to get that validation and sneer at the paupers (people that support football teams that don’t win as many trophies).

Look at their reaction to drawing a game. They’ve made this rivalry the most toxic in the entire Premier League and one of the most toxic in the country, and I fear one day it will completely boil over into something. It’ll be because of them, and they’ll try and use their weird online cult to flip the narrative the other way and blame us. You’ll get the Hillsborough shouts and everything. They are all deranged, more or less to a man. The last decade of them having everything their own way will just make things 10x worse, as we’re starting to see now with them not being able to mentally deal with failing to win a football match. They are dangerous people who are fundamentally psychologically damaged in my opinion.

Top rant.

*Sigh* it's embarrassing but I'm honestly considering writing a letter to Jonathan Liew.

Every article he writes in the flowery language he loves so much, banging on about our spending over the years.

The countless digs in that article after yesterday about the fans, the quality of the players, the clubs misdirection...

Not one good word about the character of the players who dug deep and left everything on the pitch. No it was all fortunate bounces and luck because how else could little everton ever match mighty reds (who were pap for a large part of yesterday.) We didn't salvage a deserved point because of our own quality no, it was all ThE mAdnEss oF FOoTball!

Posh weapon.

Something about our existence really offends him.
He is a poor man’s Barney Ronay.

There was a an interview with the “secret footballer” who said that was told never to antagonise the Liverpool fan base in his Gaurdian articles.

It’s the only way you can explain such a take.

My point was that that the hard men of the past.... The Giles,
or in Giles's case, chinned by Sandy Brown
The Bremner, The Chopper Harris....were pulled up for it and booked. Their hard knock sly horrors... TAA, MacAllister,Diaz etc rarely do and seemingly have carte blanche to do as they like. Ive called this out regularly here since VVD (another get out of jail free merchant) came with Arnold, Robertson and a variety of others there. No change there then. Some games theyve been lucky not to get 2 or more of theirs sent off straight red, never mind for two yellows.

What they can't get their head around is that this wasn't a celebration of a draw, it was more an outpouring of relief. The very last ever derby at Goodison, tied on wins and that goal prevented them from holding that over us. It was so much bigger than that 1 night.

I'm absolutely loving it. I tend to take the approach of just letting them stew in it, then, when they're getting over it, stoke it all back up them stand off. Could get months out of this.

Absolutely spot on mate.

It's like being a Liverpool fan & 'hating' Everton is seen as character trait rather than anything specifically to do with the actual football these days, particularly amongst the 'Gen Z' crowd and a smattering of millennials.

That club has become so commercialised in the last 15-20 years that it's become a bit of a farce, well before Klopp rocked up but he arguably made it a lot worse.
RS are a unique fan base. As I've previously said RS haven't struggled since 1960s. Unlike most clubs fans, even those of United, Chelsea and Arsenal there has been some struggle. Add to that the media portraying RS as witty local loyal Scousers who are somehow different from United, Chelsea, City and Arsenal fans. Local RS have been use to not going game, for years and they deeply resent our fans for actually going to the game. The fact that people know fans who sit around them. Everton fans talk to each other normally, RS can't do that, it's just virtue signalling amongst them, hence why they walk round in RS shirts when game is even on. Their love of Jamie Webster and other bellends. So all they can do is sit in pub mocking Everton or mancs they have nothing else.

Why though? I don't get it?

Me and the old man were having a chat about this yesterday and the quote was

"Imagine if the roles were reversed, and we'd won the lot in the past decade whilst they struggled to stay alive... i wouldn't give a toss".

But all I've seen over the past 24 hours is the reds being in arms about being robbed, "cup final", "celebrating goals" etc...

Has it just came full circle? They're back to despising us? I hope so. Man Utd - Liverpool shouldn't he the rivalry.

Would love Everton - Liverpool to re-emerge as the big fixture moreso because Wednesday was just great entertainment, a throwback to previous derbies when it meant more to both sides.
One word - Class.

For all their posturing that we don’t matter to them, we can see that this is a bare faced lie.

They will always have an inferiority complex about us because for all their trophies, they will forever be second best in this city and the world, they will never be the originals, and the biggest fly in their eye is that without us they would not exist.

Then you add the shame and pain they have brought on this city and its people when committing manslaughter, mere weeks after we were being rightly praised and commended for our behaviour by the authorities - it’s a diabolical stain they will carry that can’t be associated to us.

There’s an authenticity and class about Everton that they will never, ever possess.

It’s a gut punch that floors them and they can’t get up from, hence the irrational bitter vitriolic reaction to us getting the draw the other night.

Forever a poor copy of an original, unique football club.

We are Everton - class is permanent.

Give them enough rope.....etc.

A Psychiatrist would have to have a lie down on his own couch after trying to analyse their obsession regarding us.

Mass hysteria after a last minute (again !) equaliser. Shameless wild anger rather than disappointment in their own mediocre display. Its moved on from winning the League and a gaggle of their scruffy coneheads thinking it an apt celebration to attack with fire rockets our RLB Head Office. Then furthermore to embellish and celebrate that insanity by beating each other up in a pitch battle outside it.

Its patently obvious that we achieve this simply doing nothing. God knows what they'll do when BMD opens to its due acclaim in August in all its "Banks of the Royal Blue Mersey" glory. Spontaneous combustion at the very least. Stuff 'em.
