The praise the Spirit of Shankly attribute themselves is unbelievable. They genuinely believe Liverpool FC 'listened to the fans (customers)', over furloghing staff... No they were shamed by the general public perception of the matter, which was drawing negative press and criticism. To save some PR they withdrew it, but took the opportunity to pat their self righteous fans on the head, as if to demonstrate they somehow 'listened' to them. As usual SOS lapped it up.
If the SOS were so concerned about COVID19 and the A Madrid game going ahead, they'd have been firmer in their views to the club. If, after that, the club still proceeded they would have come out saying how they were not going the game and didn't want to be a part of it. We all know they'd have loved the media spotlight, they'd have been all over various media channels telling the world about what they were doing. In reality they all went the game. The fans wanted to play it, Klopp wanted to play it and Liverpool FC definitely wanted to play it WITH the fans in the ground.
