Ibrahima Konate has just dropped to the floor in disbelief after that Mohamed Salah strike. The camera pans to Steven Gerrard, who is smiling in the studio. That's a strike that Gerrard would have been proud of. Exhibition stuff from Liverpool.

The camera panned over to a delighted Steven Gerrard, who was seen applauding and fist-pumping after that Mohamed Salah goal.

How they are allowed to have fans like this bloke reporting supposedly objectively ill never know.

….i’ve always said they’re a ‘cup team’ and the two-legged format of Champions League is ideal for them.

They’re capable of beating anybody in that competition, definitely have a genuine chance.

They have a puncher's chase at the CL.

They obviously blow hot and cold and that's why their PL campaign has been a disaster, but they stand a decent chance in the CL still.

The firepower they have up front worries me. The defence hopefully will crack open like a nut against a punishing team like PSG, but I think they'll ramp up the 'revenge' angle on this tie and it'll be a close call even though PSG are levels above Liverpool in terms of all round ability throughout their team.
