Dominic (can’t spell his name) has been their best player and playing in Salah’s position and yet they are nowhere.

Salah hasn’t played well but is still miles ahead of this Dominic (whatever his name is) in terms of productivity except this season.

But the thing that gets me is why only him getting dropped? What about VVD and Kanote and thier fullbacks ?

Most of the team have been crap and let’s face it Salah has carried them in some games, that’s why what he said from an Everton perspective has been delicious.

They need to dropping more than Mo based on what I’ve seen, his biggest mistake was going public with it.

He won’t finish the season with the RS though

They are very light on defenders (should have put in the bid for Guehi well before they did so Crystal Palace could find a replacement) which is presumably why VVD and haven’t been dropped. Slot has been scrambling round to get a team that works, he dropped Isak, Wirtz and Ekitike before he dropped Salah so I think the “being scapegoated” is a bit strong.

If Salah had just kept his mouth shut and gone to AFCON I think Slot’s struggles would have seen him out the door by his return. Ironically Salah’s outburst has made it far more likely that board have to be seen to back the manager and sell Salah.
