I've had some serious car issues recently, and it has prevented me gigging for the last 2 or 3 months, today I had a gig booked in for a venue I've played many times but is at least an hours drive away so told them earlier this week I had to cancel. Turns out as it's a birthday gig, the promoter has organised a mate to collect me and take me down.

Why am I telling you this you ask? Well as we're 2 strangers we chat about generic things looking for common ground to talk about, turns out he's a kopite. I had the utter delight in telling him the score.

Even better, about 20 minutes into our football discussion I heard the delicious phrase "oh god I had no idea it was at home as well!"

The gig could fall apart completely for all I care, this has made my evening
