They'll have their propagandist arse wipes like Kieran Maguire to argue it's all because they've been "smartly run", but every fan in the country can see they're just spending, because they can, to blow the opposition out of the water...just like Chelsea did, just as City did.

They're honorary oil club members.

They'll try and argue the opposite but to no avail.

Chelsea sell loads to fund their spending.

I’m amazed by their summer. Spending absolute fortune and seem to have a free run at every top player they want. Are players genuinely saying it’s Liverpool or nothing? It feels like some switch has been triggered since I can’t remember Liverpool attracting this much elite talent. Always seemed a rung or 2 below when it came to attracting players. Funny this has happened once they shed Klopp.

Despite the spending losing Luis Diaz and Trent Alexander-Arnold will be much bigger losses than they are making out currently. 2 of their best players last season.
 
Why are people so assed, it’s obvious how they can do this. They didn’t spend last summer, they won the league, they got CL money, and they have just got 70m for Diaz. They will likely sell Nunez, and Elliot too. It’s absolutely crap watching them spend like this, but it is clever business. F*** them anyway, I like our way of doing things, it’s exciting 😂
 

I hope Newcastle absolutely rinse them. 150 mill for a bloke with that injury record? This is absolutely insane spending by Liverpool and tbh it’s just looking panicked. They’ve gone out and just thrown eye watering fees at the players that are in vogue the most this summer. It’s the complete opposite of when they were picking up Salah and Mane for 30 mill each. Wirtz has an ACL on his injury sheet and Isak missed a huge chunk of a season at Newcastle with a hamstring problem and routinely misses a lot of games each season.

This all looks good on paper but these numbers for players you will never be able to sell on again are crazy.
 
I've already had the discussion with one of the about how much money they've spent. "yeah but we didn't spend a penny last season, and we've earned all the money we've spent in prize money, blah, blah, blah". The fact that I argued they've still spent nearly half a billion just wouldn't wash. KAGS.

Apart from the 42 mill they spent on a new goal keeper and Chiesa. Yeah apart from that they didn’t spend anything last summer. Let’s not mention the summer before either for the paupers. Haven’t spent a bean.
