10 years he's been festering on here now. The mods can't ban him now, as it would make them look daft for letting it go for so long. Unless his head falls absolutely clean off and he starts posting pictures of the Champions League trophy lift last season and posting "1995" in every thread, he'll be sticking around. Not long til he's past the -2000 rep mark though, which is a stunning feat.

I’m looking forward to the meltdown when it’s voided. It’ll be a bit of a break from serious matters during these grim times.

The lip service served up yesterday was always going to happen at this stage but it’ll be voided long before June when reality hits that a ball won’t be getting kicked. The powers that be will already be aware of this but dangling a carrot yesterday ensures Sky customers aren’t instantly cancelling in there droves.

This season’s already been destroyed, there’s going to be financial implications in every walk of life but damage limitation will kick in. The priority will be trying to make sure next season goes ahead in full.

The key thing yesterday was that they did not say that this season MUST be completed before a new season starts.

It is just nonsense to think that if we are given the all clear to resume football in the autumn that there is any virtue in closing out this one, when fans of every EPL club bar one just want to start afresh with a bit of anticipation and excitement in the air.

Slovenia's my new favourite country

The Liverpool football anthem You'll Never Walk Alone was broadcast by 180 radio stations across Europe this morning, including Slovenia's Val 202.
It's a defiant message of solidarity, as millions are cooped up at home in the coronavirus crisis.
But the BBC's Balkans correspondent ,Guy De Launey, says Slovenia has just told people officially that they should walk alone if they go outside, to avoid spreading the virus.
