I Only liked Layla cos of goodfellas - scrap that off the playlist then.

Clapton wrote the longer initial section of “Layla” but the part featured in Goodfellas was the piano-led coda, which was written by the drummer, Jim Gordon, so it’s okay to keep liking it. Gordon later murdered his elderly mother but he was mentally ill, and thus remains morally preferable to nasty bigot Clapton.
