It’s just the sheer luck. I know they ended up getting spanked by Carlo eventually but what team seriously has a CL run that includes Inter Milan (before they were good), Benfica, and Villareal to make a CL final. It reads like a europa league group.

Even when they won it, what other team wins their CL semi final and awaits the outcome of the other semi final between…Spurs and Ajax…..

They haven’t half had some lucky draws over the years. Thank god for Real Madrid slapping them silly.
