ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

He would've been better off saying nothing. Awful take on this.

What a monumental coward. Literally would’ve been better being honest and saying “I sold my morals for money” and being done with it.

Even further than the homophobia there, this is a country who executed 81 people in a day last year, and will routinely hold literal children until they turn 18 to execute them per the below article:

Any footballers going there have very little right to try and take a moral stance again

What he probably hasn’t realised yet is that the level of narcissism he was used to operating with when captain of Liverpool just isn’t accepted when he plays for any other club. Literally no one now cares if he does an interview to clear his name or not, now he’s not captain of captains he hasn’t got the entire English media establishment as his personal propaganda machine.

I can’t believe this interview. His best play was just to stay quiet and then give an honest account in a couple of years when returning to the country. That he had an incredible opportunity to achieve multi generational wealth for his family and he took it. To come out and say he joined the Saudi league for a new experience and challenge is embarrassing. Sometimes you just need to take an L. I can’t believe he and his team think they can possibly spin this

Jesus what a terrible interview, I cant believe he thought this was a good thing. The comment about respecting religions and their views

Also have to note Gerrard going there has soiled his reputation especially amongst the reds, claiming it was to assist his family when he lives on the most expensive street in Liverpool, we all knew he was greedy and have said it for years his whole schtick was a load of "bleep), but even the most ardent red cant deny it now

Salah. Sure he's a good player, but he is 31. He is a muslim so is no doubt also very marketable in Saudi. But rumours of an upped bid of around 200 million quid for him?

Is there some sort of money laundering going on behind the scenes, or are the Saudis just flexing as hard as they can to try and tempt their regions biggest sports star into their league?

If there's any truth in the 215 million pound bid and they turn it down they're thicker than I thought. And if they accept it well I'm sorry but it's money laundering in broad daylight.
