why are they paying 60m for a player they didn't think was worth more than 45m a week ago?

Let’s face it city don’t release players who they think are going to be good. Everyone ridiculed them about sancho when he signed for United, but he’s never adapted to the PL. Lavia might be a decent player, but not of the ilk for teams challenging for champions league places.

Wonder if he will tell people that he was bought by Liverpool when Ian Rush decided to go to Juventus( apparently it was a bit like playing in a foreign country) as they had a vacancy up front for someone who looked a bit like Rush.
As soon as Rush became available again Aldo was sold off to Spain as the RS realised that the only comparison between the two was they both had a silly moustache.
