I dont see that as a top 4 group.

They nearly won the CL with Milner Henderson Wijnaldum in their midfield. They’ve turned over good teams with Jones Elliot and even Oxlade Chamberlain in their sides.

I’m convinced they could literally find three randoms of the street and they’d still somehow have a decent team.

Thiago may not be staying around too long if what I've been told is correct, so it could be a real change in their midfield - a big risk.

Even if it does pay off for them, which with their luck usually does, I can see it taking a while for the players to gel and fit into their model.

Bajcetic, Jones, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Elliot Lavia(?).

Yes they have Bajcetic, Jones, Elliot and Lavia as their u21 brigade but none of those are as good as our Onana and Garner.

Mac Allister and Szoboszlai are good, perhaps even very good players but are they the leaders that weve seen from their midfielders (Gerrard/Henderson) ?

Not sure theyve made the right signings.

Henderson going to Saudi proves all his gesturing was nothing more that publicised virtue signaling. Talkshabite is doing mental gymnastics at the minute trying to justify it. Only Jim White seems to be calling him out on it, but in his own way by asking why he didn't make it a part of his leaving speech.

They played hoofball for years, they had no need for a midfield. Pump it from the back into the channels for Salah or Mane to chase, then the carthorses all run up to support.
