Oh I agree, we can’t compete with them on fees/salary/ top players but that’s not my point, it’s our inability , compared to theirs, to identify targets early, make an approach and if it doesn’t succeed move on.

You can sign players at any point outside of the registration window but can’t register them for the squad until that date, which is the date their contracts start. It appears to only be our club that still thinks you’re not allowed to do transfer business of any kind outside of the “transfer window” (which is just a registration window)

We think you can only sign players in the last month of August.
