So have I missed something, or is it now a thing for all players leaving a club to receive a 'guard of honour' after the last home game? Remember when a player would just leave and then get applause if he came back with his new club?
That utter farrago of cringe yesterday was embarrassing even by Kopite standards. A guard of honour for Oxbow-Lake or whatever his name is?
And this narrative now that 'Bobby' is 'the best in the world' and 'give him the ball and he will score' blah blah ad infinitum. That would explain why Klopp has restricted him to the odd sub appearance this season then. Because who would want to have the best player in the world in the starting lineup?
And the mural thing!! Now 'Bobby's is complete'... When did that become the norm? Oh wait, for any normal club (i.e every other one), it isn't...
I honestly despair. When Salah leaves there will probably be a bank holiday to celebrate his achievements.
