You don’t know what can happen over 38 games which is why every point is crucial. Momentum can be the difference between that lot sweating over a top 4 battle or being in a title race. We saw last season how far they were out of it until the PL deceived they needed a title race and just started shafting City and bending over for Liverpool and before you knew it an 8 point advantage was down to a final day decider.

They should be almost dead and buried already and instead they’ve had a massive shot in the arm probably more effective than the artificial ones they’re already giving their players.

Is it really that much to ask for them just to have a bit of a rocky period without them getting bailed out by some stupid miracle or bent refereeing every time they need it

City have only conceded five so far. They'll sort that out too soon enough. And they can take injuries and get away with it. They have top quality to the depth of 2 and sometimes 3 in all positions.

Liverpool are still all over the place. They got a ref to hand victory tnight. The attack wasn't good enough to do it legitimately. The midfield is way off top quality and the defence is creaking.

They've won one pressure taken off *title in 33 years...and they wouldn't have won that with stadiums full.

I have no doubt whatsoever that City win this by a country mile.

They can tell themselves what they want...it wont paper over the cracks of a team in relative decline.

Mark my words: Liverpool will lose about 7 or 8 games this season. They are well off it. The squad they have is nowhere near a title challenging one.

Elliott I can easily understand. A player who's mocked disability. Now he makes the crassest most irresponsible gesture there could be with a handful of people shot dead in Liverpool in a fortnight.

It'll be completely ignored. We know it will.
