ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2007/jun/04/newsstory.sport18

It’s not like UEFA haven’t already called them out. This is 15 years ago, and surprise surprise another final and more absolute carnage from the ravenous mob. Same issues of ticket stealing and illegally getting into the game.

I hope UEFA say enough is enough; almost 40 years since they caused the death of 39 innocent people, they’re still at it. Intent on their own self worth and importance.

A stain on this city

This is what we have to deal with over here

This guy is a grade A Tory, who couldn't get elected in one of Dublin's most salubrious constituencies.

What in all that is holy is a failed Irish politician writing to the French government on behalf of RS fans? I dispair.

That's made me smile. All the dart, blueshirt tories crying into their heino about O'Gara, la Rochelle and Real.

That's why he's signed up for a couple more years.

I'm hoping Conte gets spome cash and gets Spurs breathing down Liverpool's necks for that runners up spot.
If conte gets what he wants from spurs, and they’ve already got perisic for him, then he’ll stick round for a couple of years an give them a run for their money. Conte has already got under shipmans skin after the draw at anfield, although that’s not hard, think he’ll rattle him a bit more this season.

RAWK thinking outside the box:

If there were some sort of promotion / relegation system to the ESL, I'd be all up for [Poor language removed] UEFA right off. They still haven't been held accountable for their part in Heysel.
some goin that. bus parade on anniversary, blame the french and french police for safety standards attempted to be adhered to, near four decade axe to grind over actual deaths due to riot and blame who exactly?
more face than all those forgeries theyd printed.
shambles.

Not been a peep out of them on some WhatsApp groups either. It’s like they take a 2 week end of spring break. I do miss their awful banter.
I'm living that scene in 'sin city' where Willis pummels pumpkin head into bits. It's relentless, and it's just getting funnier and funnier. They were all over the place, under every rock, in every shadow chopsing off as we looked more and more doomed. Oh how this pigeon has come home to roost.
Gonna be a long summer with not much sport on boyo's, root canal surgery on the hour, every hour. It's gonna be great.

Excerpt from a RAWK report from the fanpark:

Where I was standing at the end of the game, there was a security guard who forcefully tried to close the fences at the side which he had opened through the game, and direct everyone toward another entrance. Some of the lads beside us just knocked the fences down and we all walked out over them. Knowing how packed it was at the back of the fan park, it was unreasonable to expect everyone to head down one exit. Seemed like [Poor language removed] behaviour from that guard.

Claim ONLY.. ONLY!!!!!!!!!! 2,800 FAKE tickets were scanned.

Bearing in mind that there were ONLY, ONLY, about 5,000 fans (or 1/4 of the seats seemed occupied) around expected KO time, I'd say "do the maths" and realise that many many thousands were allowed to bunk in without ticket checks (as shown on media).

By that token it's not hard to imagine many more fake tickets were in circulation.
I think it was a mistake at such an early stage for the French to say 30-40,000. Should have just said we have reason to believe thousands.

This 2800 is now being brushed under the carpet. It is still fraud on a major scale. It is also more than 10% of their official allocation. Most of them heading there early would have got the alarm bells ringing which then led to the delays etc.
