ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Just over 12 months difference in these 2 articles. I wonder who that bald bloke cheers for..

There’s no many journos left who aren’t massive kopites now.

They’ve just infiltrated everywhere. I see the one who is going out with Mane is covering most matches on sky sports. There’s pundit jobs galore for them and even the ones who don’t apparently support them like Jenas Sutton Humphreys Savage et . are so far up their hoop it’s embarrassing,

Their greatest power has been that they’ve got one of the stupidest most rabid fanbases in modern football. A whole generation of tv watchers, content readers, merchandise buyers, and idiots suckered into buying any product with an LFC stamp on it, have meant that even in a period they didn’t win the title for 30 years, media companies were still positioning them front and centre because their fanbase means easily milkable money, whereas fans of other clubs just don’t buy the same sort of crap that they do as often and as regularly.

It really is a unique blend of behavioural traits. Throw in their narcissism an insecurity as well. I know friends who support City, United, Chelsea, Madrid, Bayern, I’ve never seen them once wear any football attire outside of a match day. Liverpool fans wear Liverpool branded stuff to loads of things, on holiday, at theme parks, around town, in airports. They have to be seen to be a top red and to rub it in to other fans.

Big companies just lap this up though. It’s just free money in their eyes. I’d never seen any big brands tie themselves directly to a football team before Nivea and Erdinger did. Even Dominos are now sending anti Everton tweets. The power of Liverpool fan’s insecurity, stupidity, narcissism, and their ability to throw all their money at anything that’s red has meant they have by stealth now gained control over the entire media industry that surrounds football.

Funnily enough that industry does not want to pay money for a product that disappoints its prime (and now largely only) customer base.

I have stopped buying newspapers, and swerve Sky sports, and the BBC as much as I can.

Get my Everton news-fix via Utube, Toffee TV, Everton Rose, The Mighty Blues, and a couple of others.

Anyone notice lfctv, I means bt sports saying after the game that lancearmstong fc we’re on the verge of the quadruple, calmly ignoring the fact that there are still significant matches for that outcome to not happen, yet they are on the verge?

Ok, If it was the cl final and they had already won everything else, then it’s the verge of the quadruple - the bias is so disrespectful to city/real, Chelsea and the rest of the prem teams they have to play, who may have something to say about it.

Its already been decided that they will win the league and domestic trophies, just got to hope that whoever they get in the CL final beats them.

From the media stories about them ‘closing in on the quadruple’ ‘8 games from immortality’ ‘at the finishing line for the quadruple’

You wouldn’t think that the PL was actually out of their hands and if City win five remaining games there’s nothing they can do about it. I don’t blame them though for being confident that the refs will shaft City at some point and Liverpool will be airlifted to five wins in a row.
Only 2 short seasons from 3 in a row after this one. Unprecedented since covid.

Can’t wait to see the entirety of the British media try and utterly fail to be impartial in the build up to City Liverpool. I wonder who the pundits will be on the BT panel, probably nicely balanced with Owena me Carragher for Liverpool and Mcmanaman and Hamman for City.

Will be funny watching the media build up Liverpool whilst 95% of the country is rooting for Madrid like last time.

Stephen Graham tried to convert him on one of those Pirate movies.

Apparently, the Depp was not interested.
The perfect cameo of the RS evangelism... bringing LFC into everything. Its perverse and an instant marker of their unique weird world.

Jodie Comer, star of tv's 'Killing Eve' is now storming the West End in her first theatrical role. In one of the comments sections of the brilliant reviews, an RS has put "pity she's an Everton fan". (Good job he didn't know her Dad worked at FF ! ) Fitting cameo of the RS mentality.

God knows if Einstein had frequented the Kop, he'd have said "by the way, the 'E' in me equation doesnt stand for Everton, la"
