That was when we had a world-class manager. We took 4 points off them last season, but yeah.
ExactlyThat was when we had a world-class manager.
I'm sure they can do that.
Just imagine we're holding them at HT though? Or even keep it to one in the final stages. They;re going to be sweating like a glass blower's arse fearful that one slip could hand City the title.
This. I was discussing the day with a mate during the week. There's pics of us all before the game. We were in front of the media boxes so could see what was being shown.on grandstand, blokes around us had radios. We'd heard there'd been deaths reported by 3.30 ish.I, along with many on here no doubt, was at the other semi at Villa Park that day and when we were out of the ground and hanging around our cars for everyone to get back, word was spreading round of "there's been deaths at Hillsborough" , the look of disbelief and shock on everyone was sobering, people were panicking as they had friends and/or family there and before mobile phones, people were desperately trying to find any way of finding out. I will not have it for one second that anyone of my era will chant a derogatory Hillsboro chant.
Agree. They can’t score unless it’s a set piece or a penFor set piece FC I’m leaning towards Virgil van Divvy. Most likely form of scoring with most media tug fest potential.
More realistically I could make half a case for us getting a draw - on a weekend where City have whittled down Liverpool's GD advantage over City that'd mean Liverpool would require two slip ups from City, as I'm sure they'll rattle in a lot more goals than Liverpool in what remains of this season. We frustrated City at home for long periods. We kept United out. We didn’t give Newcastle a sniff. Yes they’re a very good team but there’s no reason w scant go and make things very difficult for them.
Ideal scenario is points in the bag for us and we’ve physically battered them in advance of Villarreal. Title challenge over, quad gone, players injured or exhausted, pressure on remaining games, Klopp rattled. Could be glorious.
I'm sure they can do that.

Against us?! .. Must be our outstanding away form that causes them to be nervous? Or our ability to come from 2 goals down or them giving up 2 goal leads? Or maybe it’s the form of our lately? They'll be relying on being 2 up by 60 minutes otherwise they'll be nervous.

Sorry. My head says we’ll lose but I hope we actually show some fight and in the process, do some damage impacting their remaining games.Ye of little faith Derek.
