ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

First VAR was obviously correct. Second, whilst in line with all other games, is absolutely ridiculous. VAR could be great but it relies on idiots and poor usage.

Just watched it. No way should that Wolves goal be disallowed....VAR is going to kill the game ....

Goals like that are getting disallowed every week. That's the law now. It's happening to every team. It shouldn't even be controversial now when a goal is ruled out for being a hairs breadth offside.

It's down to the FA and the PL to decide if they change the rule. Until then it is what it is.

That’s true, it’s just so... so... not the football I grew up watching. The guy’s big toe was offside. That’s not ‘clear and obvious’ is it? Sure, it’s technically offside, and Liverpool and others have had that for and against them, but it still is ridiculous.

The thing with clear and obvious, it doesn't apply to offsides. It's rubbish but everyone has to deal with it. Some will go our way, some won't.

They've lost one game in about 2 seasons, they're European and World Champions and about a billion miles ahead of every one else.
Against my better judgment, I watched their game last night at Leicester and that was the most complete performance any away side has produced in years.
I hate to say it, but they are the best side in the world at the moment. I've not seen a demolition job like they did in a big game since the United sides of the 90's.
There's no juiced up, there's no VAR favours, they are just way too good for everyone over a season, whether or not City beat them in a one off return game.
They spent next to nothing over the summer, while everyone else spent fortunes. Even with injuries, they still get the job done. There is no doubt that Klopp is the best manager in the world.
I hate acknowledging it, but they are just very good.
With City losing tonight, it's not if, but just when they win the title.
Koff minge.

I've accepted they have won it now.

Just glad they never spawned it last game of the season.
It is microscopically better that they've won it in December, so football fans worldwide will find the run in a bit tedious - rather than have some sort of down to the wire, against the odds triumph.

End of the day it's still a colossal turd dropped on British society that can't really be polished however one approaches it.

I see the clowns now have Jonny in the dock for abusing a ball boy . Why can they never just take the points and move on. Fans probably made a complaint. Not Jonnys fault the 6 fingered ballboy couldn’t pick the ball up properly

It wasn't offside. I mean I get the mm thing and the if it is it is. But I look at that still that they say his toe was defo offside and it isn't. No matter how many times I look at it is behind or level. Defo goal for them btw, shoulder all day

This set of games has seen the two worst VAR interventions yet. The Norwich and Wolves goals both disallowed because someone’s fingernail was offside. An absolute joke. Surely it has to be some part of your body you can score with to be offside? e.g. you can’t score with a hand so a hand can’t be offside. If it wasn’t for Carlo’s arrival I’d be done with footie for this season. VAR is a joy killer.

I get what you are saying, I check this thread as I kind of enjoy being outraged, as in its better to feel something rather than the nothing I felt under silva. But with results happening, players stepping up and Carlo in charge... I think I can bow out of this thread.. and leave the intruders to pontificate amongst themselves.. I am convinced this thread is full of reds trying to convince each other they are blue
