ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

YNWA being performed now lol

Coming from a small town in Ireland I don’t have the same vitriol to the RS as most on here as the focus from RS here has always been Man U (recall the ‘95 Cup final and my RS cousins jumping when we beat United). To a lesser extent they focused on Chelsea (Mourinho period) and over the last two years Man City. So we are rarely a target.

But today, a cousin I hadn’t seen since Christmas came round today and said...“do you know, since 2001 I’ve seen my club lift every trophy you can win, some multiple times over, while you’ve seen Everton win absolutely nothing”. I didn’t have any comeback for him.
If you didn't have a comeback then you're not an Evertonian.

Odd how Carragher and Neville both put Van Dijk in their team of the year, even though he missed half of that period being out injured. Carragher even has him down as better than Dias who won the league last season. Even Jota makes it in ahead of any of the City title winners upfront.

Keep the propaganda going lads. I’m surprised they’ve not found a way to get Allison in ahead of Mendy and Ederson. Oh wait they did.
Was Van Dijk injured? What happened? First I've heard of it.

….as an old fella who has been here lots of times before, write that lot off at your peril.

i can’t believe you are feeling smug & claiming this as a success. Premature evaluation. Let’s look at your recent track record on this subject:

- When they lost to Man Utd towards the end of last season you said ’they won’t finish top 4 now, they are totally out of it, vault me if I’m wrong’. You were very wrong. They not only qualified for the CL, they have breezed through to the knock out stages & are likely winners.

- When they started to pick up points after that United defeat, you were clearly getting anxious & declared they would be beaten at Burnley on the run-in, indeed I think you suggested Burnley would smash them. Result; Burnley 0 Liverpool 3.

- When they lost to West Ham earlier this season you said they were flakey and would fall apart. I think they’ve been undefeated since then (until last night) and have looked anything but flakey.

Keep throwing darts, Dave, one is bound to hit the target but I genuinely despair when you tempt fate with other lot. Chuffed with Leicester last night but its not over by a long way.
You sound upset Liverpool got beat.....

You'd only do it at your own peril. We all know how they've got a pact with the Devil himself, so anything could happen.

Still, you can't help but think that the ANC should have a negative impact on them.

….absolutely, it was a terrific result but they could’ve beaten Leicester by plenty.

Plenty of twists and turns yet. Be happy they got beat last night but remember they are still in the title race and through to the business end of two cup competitions.

He is basically saying if they played 2 days ago they would of won, so he is complaining about too many games and now not playing was the reason for defeat
Nah, I don't get that from reading it. I think he is just saying Leicester handled the schedule better than his team.

99% of what he says is absolute wham, but I don't really see anything wrong with this one

Out of the title race by new years eve.lol It's good to see that shower revert to type. 2020 was quite obviously a flash in the pan.
This is why I never stop being amused by people on here who near have kittens at the prospect of them winning the title every year....they've done it once* in 32 years.

Them NOT winning the title is baked into my season on season expectations.
