ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Maybe all the RS Club staff could spontaneously take the knee with big grins on their faces in front of a billboard advertising the African Nations Cup, with billboards of the Club sponsors also on show, at the exact moment a photographer is coincidentally taking a picture.

Y'know to show how they support the Tournament more than anyone else.

Taking on Africa, bold move, let's see how this one plays out...

Personally, I'd love to see Klopp go black face in solidarity and wearing some form of traditional African costume (ideally a really ornate one with huge cultural significance to whoever it represents) taken from a museum for authenticity. Maybe have a video shoot where he is hanging out with the African players in the team and making up aid parcels of rs kits for deprived African kids who only have to pay 95% of the full price.

I'm welling up just thinking about the humanity on show.

Right... y'all know how much I hate him, you know this, but when I saw that first clip I actually thought he meant it as 'yeah, we've got all this going on.... and then the 'small matter' of AFCON - i.e that is another significant event we've got to deal with'

OK, its badly worded and needs an inflection to land well, but I actually don't think he meant that as, its a 'little' tournament - that's just my take, and really its whiny moaning Klopp getting himself into grief by whining and moaning again.
But.... he then completely shoots himself in the foot by turning on an African journalist, raising that concern, and cutting him off in a really arrogant way. A decent person would've responded with - 'I'm really sorry, that's not what I meant at all, no its a massive competition and has a big drain on the team and our domestic challenges. Perhaps its my English but I meant ' and we've got this, not little competition at all, in the middle of the season' but, yes my apologies, I can see why people could hear it that way.' Summat like that.

But because he's a bad angry weirdo kopite he can't appreciate someone else's perspective or be humble enough to admit fault.
So I genuinely don't think it shows he's a terrible racist, just a terrible human.

You are right. A simple apology for any offence. Explain yourself and how you meant it to mean. Say that the tournament is a major one and that really it will affect the team badly with the African players missing games and how key they are. End of story.

Not for old titty lip. Full indignation mode engaged.

He's got a good excuse to get out of it in that English isn't his first language.

His defence is unreal. Journalist has tried to take him to task for the remarks and demand an apology to both Africa and also the tournament.
Klopp of course, responded with good grace and humility, for which he has become known.
Oh hang on...
