ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

It needs to be changed that rule. There was another similar recently, can’t remember the game, where a defender tried to cut out a pass and touched the ball meaning the offside attacking player was deemed onside. It’s nonsense given that if the defending player knew the attacker was offside just leave it, but how would they know and why risk it especially if marginal
Probably Mbappe last week, he was offside when his team mate played the ball but deemed onside because a defender then touched it? Bonkers.

Chelsea rode their luck as much as any team I've seen today, they won't be challenging for the title on that showing
Too defensive, i knew as soon as they scored they would sit back and ride it out and they were they lucky today, you can't win titles in this day and age in the PL playing a ultra defensive style, Tuchel setup is so negative, he makes Mourinho look like Kevin Keegan, Five defenders, 3 CMs who don't do anything offensive or play forward passes, their only job is to shield the back 5, they haven't looked great this season in the CL or PL.

I personally think that was a great win for Chelsea, maybe with a bit of luck, against a very good Brentford side, who are going to upset many of the established prem teams this season, home and away (they already have haven't they?).

Tuchel sets them up as he sees fit, sometimes a little bit morr defensively and mostly he gets it right, as he did today.

Every team can't all be on the run-run juice cheating their way to asterixs now can they?

Some teams have to use defensive tactics or genuinely great football and footballers, as in city's case, to win matches and titles, instead of kick and run/cross and pray togger, with a whiff of added inhaler and biased officials thrown in.

Well I had a super pre-birthday family lunch today , so seeing that result afterwards was annoying. What surprises me most about this thread though is the number of people who watch them , I wouldn’t have bothered today and rarely do . Why watch them every time they’re on Tv ? Ignoring them as much as I can works fine for me, I just don’t understand why people have any interest in them , then complain about the match if they win.
I watched it because it was a 7.30pm kick off in WA, and I enjoy watching football on a Saturday evening.

Best goal ever..................apparently. Good, but everybody starts wetting their knickers because it's the RS

Regardless of how many hapless defences he scores a worldie against, he’s still the bloke that has been pocketed numerous times by Michael Keane, and I think Michael Keane is a complete and utter donkey who belongs in league one yet he’s still managed to shut the door on Salah on numerous occasions against them. Salah is a very good player yes but this ‘best in the world’ is just cynical kopite propaganda being pushed by the club and their tentacles in the media. When Hazard was taking Chelsea to the title and scoring better goals than Salah’s almost every week no one ever mentioned him as the best in the world. Salah scores one goal and suddenly every single media outfit and every single post match interview is calling him the best in the world. Just a cynical marketing ploy by the establishment’s club. Klopp moans about state owned clubs but there’s no club that has as much control of state media as that lot.

Also can you imagine the media tugathon if Alisson had made even one of those saves Mendy made today.

The sky commentary of Van Dijk dealing with an utterly hapless Watford team called him ‘god like’ and ‘from a different planet’. Not sure I’ve ever heard a centre back described as that for making routine clearances against a bottom three team. Meanwhile Mendy is pulling out absolute heroics and he’ll probably get beaten by Kelleher in Garth Crooks’ team of the week .
