I get where your coming from but the game’s about systems isn’t it.
Put Robertson in a defensive oriented team like Mourinhos United and he would look distinctly average but in their system as a full field high energy player with freedom to maraud forward at will, he is arguably second to none in the game right now as proven by being named to the PFA team of the year and being an integral part of their three consecutive Euro finals.
Another example would be Bale at Spurs. Played 40 or so games at full back but no one saw any of his obvious attacking potential until Rednapp was forced by team injuries and suspension to shove him from left back to left midfield and he never looked back. Then Villas Boas came in and gave him the freedom of the park and all of a sudden he became one of the top three forwards in the world!! Players need talent yes, but they also need the right system so that talent can thrive

No mate, what makes him top class is being a part of the best defence in Europe over the last couple of seasons, one of the top 5 for assists in the league as a full back, back to back Champions League finals, top of the league and flying. Don't like the guy because he's a snide and a little blank-hawk - but as others have said, that's what top teams have, and he's theirs.
