ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

"Chelsea rent-boy" Chelsea fans sung that to Gerrard when he didn't sign for them. It's not homophobic and you and I both know it. I don't think we can take any moral high ground right now do you? I'm disgusted at some of our fans right now but yet here you are angry, bitter and obsessed with them rats
What the actual? You know what a rent boy is right? Big clue, they aren’t collectors for landlords too lazy to do it themselves

He's basically one of the two great figures in that club's history.

We're often hear the question posed 'what would Shanks have said'...but what would Bob have said?

Hmmmm.
I was only a kid, can't really recall Shankley too well, but Paisley was the first of that lot I can really say I remember and have an opinion on, he was portrayed by them as "Cuddly old Uncle Bob",my own recollections are a little different he would always patronise/praise the RS opposition after one of their numerous victories, however the mask would well and truly slip in a rare defeat, a real nasty bitter side would appear, excuses for their loss would abound and as a youngster I really couldn't abide him.

I remember after the Andy King Derby in 78 the sour grapes out of his mouth was unbelievable same as his players. He said you think they had won the league.

I remember Ray Clemence saying ' it won't take us 7 years to win a derby'. I lost all respect for him after that , great keeper though he was. I don'remember any congratulations from any of them at that time.

I've got similar memories as a kid of a nice old man. But his This is your life program was on youtube when he was younger, and the thing that came across to me in that was just how hard he was. Like proper tough nut. Wasn't expecting that. You could see that the ruthless side of the game would not have been a problem for him. probably looked forward to slapping down the cards
