ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Ssn gone into meltdown this morning as liverpool might have 1 1st team player injured. They dont know for how long but it's not fair that liverpool are so disadvantaged against the money clubs.

I’ll wager that it’s just for the week he’s suspended anyway and then he’ll miraculously be back afterwards looking fitter than ever after a period of recuperation with Jurgen’s special doctor.

Anyone remember the Wayne Clarke derby from 1987-88. Liverpool had been unbeaten for about 7,894 games and were going for the unbeaten record. We beat them 1-0 on live TV. That was a top Liverpool team too and we stopped them getting the record. Surely we deserve another moment like that?

If RS are out of CL than they are defo winning the league. I want them to crash out of CL in semi final so they have to play their first XI in both the competition every week. They are starting to look like a team that is tired and just waiting to drop points. It will be hell of a month for them. Can’t wait
But if they finish 3rd, they will be in the Europa cup, so still just as many games

One step at a time mate. Starting with Silva sacking

I'm resigned to them winning a trophy this season. It will be horrible for a bit but it'll be nothing new and we'll get used to it. If they don't win anything: fantastic and we can enjoy the summer.
Most important is we win a trophy. FA Cup or League Cup. Don't care. Both would be nice though!

At goodison though - big difference in many ways.
Expecting this lot to achieve something we haven't managed for 20 years is the stuff of fairy tales.

Most important thing for me now is to win the derby. Don't care how. Just get three points. It will give a massive short-term boost to the fans.
Everton win the derby and Labour win the General Election. Happy Christmas Merseyside! :)
Maybe the younger element will be boosted by a derby win. But its not the be all or end all for the more realistic Blue.. I dont give a stuff about the RS. I do give a stuff about our shambolic situation though and whats happenng to our club... again.

The club still expected to win things then though. Oh to have that mindset now, and belief in it.

I think the rs are beatable. By us? Maybe not, but I'd fancy about half a dozen teams against them. I hope we can at least show some bottle and nick something from the game. I'd be happy for a bad tempered gruelling derby with both sides getting a point and having to carry a lot of tiredness into the rest of the seasonal fixtures. It'd kill Liverpool's chances unless they double the dose rates of the PEDs.

All what you say is very true. But we matched them quite well home and away last season. We could have taken four or even six points with some better season. They have a better team than us, better form and it's at their gaff. But if we have a bit more belief, who knows?
