Walker was left out of the squads at the start of the season, as you said no media coverage. One thing I do like about Southgate, he doesnt let the media pick his squad, so, Im hoping, Walker and James are the two prefered.

The thing that gets me is that probably only Gazza's exclusion from the 98 squad has ever got more media attention than Alexander-Arnold's ommision from a couple of easy qualifiers and a fairly tricky Poland game.

A player being crap for most of the season getting dropped is just the norm, only them can make such a non event into the media circus it has become. I hope Southgate stands by this and continues to not select him, regardless of any upturn in form.
