The RS Cultural Attache' to Qatar who visits there often apparently..Jason McAteer..shows an almost Census-type insight into the football loving folk there . Apparently, theres a big Indian, Filipino and ex-Pat community there, the majority of which are Liverpool fans. He didnt say massive fans.. but they probably must be surely. Or even huge.

McAteer is as dumb as a sack of hammers.

If you have never driven on the M6 / M1 northbound on the day of a home Liverpool match you would be truly amazed. It is a one big traffic jam of cars from Watford Gap onwards with Liverpool scarfs hanging out of the windows (and also placed strategically across the top of the dashboard and in the back window ledge), stickers all over the place and full kit w*ankers driving them. The big problem is if united are also playing at home on the same day it often kicks off in the services between them. It really is a sight to behold.

They just looked at me like I was talking in a foreign language. Came up with some lame sh** like one of their uncles lived in Hightown 40 years ago.

No connection. I dont get why they bother, there's tons of successful or big clubs in the London area.

I couldn't imagine supporting a London team whilst living in Liverpool.

That's what I don't understand about them, I can tolerate to an extent their fans from here, Wales and just outside Merseyside or those who have links to the city, but for somebody from London and the outskirts to support them is unforgivable. Same with their fans from the Midlands, Yorkshire and other parts of Southern England. I'm sure many other fans will have bumped into their fans in town and they just assume your a Red and are shocked that not all scousers are RS. To be fair to the United fans from outside Manchester they don't pretend to be Mancs, their fans pretend to be Scouse.

I see the RS have lifted their temporary ban on that supporter with the Origi banner. Temporary really is temporary in La La Na land. Nice to recall that the usual special dispensation guarantee ensured the lack of UEFA involvement too...….
However, the incident was not logged with Uefa’s match delegate and therefore cannot be subject to disciplinary proceedings by European football’s governing body.
