ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I think Ancelotti will make his team aware of what is to come. Obviously if you pretend to be whiter than white, then are stupid enough to try and kick your opponents, it will backfire. I just hope we are smart enough to;
1) Make no silly tackles
2) When a bad tackle is made, surround the ref, role around, make a huge deal of it.

If you look at our team that we will be oplaying, outside of Holgate it's difficult to think of any who really tackles. Davies used to a bit, but even he intercepts more now. Doucoure is really good at intercepting, as is Godfrey.

Edit- oh and Richarlinson, he needs to avoid doing anything stupid. But the rest generally don't, and in honesty shoudn't.

On them, you are right about Thiago, he throws in numerous poor tackles. Not red cards but probably yellow card type tackles and gets away with them. I hope we writhe around in agony if he does one.

If they go into this match the way some of their typically noncey fans are saying about trying to settle a percieved injustice, that will play right into our hands in my view. I am very happy to have them lose their rag and try to hurt us, in the era of VAR, you won't get away with it.
I also hope Ancelotti plays the whole game down in his press conference and deflects any questions referring to the death of Virgil!
He should also say that this is just another game against a team who is challenging 4th spot like ourselves so it’s no different from playing West Ham.

Guaranteed we get carded first.

This is after tactical thaigo has been persistently volleying the snot out of Richy and James.

They have always acted like and said we are a physical, aggressive, dirty side, which is absolute bollocks - they have always put their fair share of ropey challenges in any games they play, the derby is no exception - in fact they get away with more in derbies as the refs completely shoite themselves and ref the occasion, not the game.

Just hope we don't back down on Saturday when they start it - we did alright on that regards at Goodison tbh, but that was after sir Jordan had "assualted" big virgin.

We should have got in the refs ear and in their faces, when that big shithouse was trying to cripple James and Richy, and we didn't, were too nice.

They must think were as stupid as the mug media who fall for their garbage. That supposed world beater Thiago they drool over, he of the 'Hollywood' passes which are usually all of five yards, usually fouls from the kick off. Plug Henderson had a right go at him after Thiago's last fiasco at Leicester but then did the RS damage limitation routine of saying how fabulous he is during the week. That contempt they have for us, personified by VD running amok like a whirling dervish in the first ten minutes to try and hurt James and Richarlison, needs bouncing right back at them. Klopp is well wound up already and following the RS code of digs like some of his predecessors so I guess Don Carlo will save one of his De Niro-esque face pulls for him if he starts his touchline histrionics. Ben Godfrey wont take any chat off them hopefully, like-wise Allan if he gets a game and they try it on with him. Their two supposed hard knock full back simply need to be directly run straight at to put them in their place and clip their wings. Let them know were there. Whats our name ?

Ancelotti needs to bring up the death threats sent to Pickford, his wife and his little child. That those who hype what was an unfortunate accident up are partially complicit in this violence towards women and children.

Overall I don't worry about us. We are not a dirty team, it was an accidental collision. I worry they will be dirty especially after the previous few derbies, and ultimately get away with it again. So again, hopefully Ancelotti can make mention of that, and say protection works both ways.

I also hope we are ready for gamesmanship on Saturday. If a player gets kicked, roll about, surround the ref etc.

I hope Liverpool do see this as their big opportunity to right a percieved wrong, and spend the game trying to kick us. A scrappy game, with lots of free kicks suits us. We just have to ensure we milk the contact like they do.

The right wing media will of course be a disgrace in the lead up to this.
Tbh, we missed an opportunity in light of the online abuse theme that has been playing accross SSN recently.
Would have been an ideal moment to recall the abuse and death threats which resulted in Pickford haviing to hire security to protect his family.

I hope Carlo plays Pickford on Saturday, that will mess their heads up.
They’ll be expecting Pickford to be dropped and told to stay at home.
I wonder how many times we’ll hear about the Saint Virg injury while conveniently forgetting how he thought he was a hard case getting stuck in to DCL and James within the first 5 minutes of the previous derby, only to come a cropper when he tried it with Pickford.
These are poor, we have nothing to fear with the right attitude, stay tight at the back, we’ll defo score at least 2 against this horror cult
Apart from Everton fans nobody even knows that happened. When you control the media............
