ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Maybe, and I’m clutching at straws here, it’s supposed to be 30 second per sub, added onto this is that they have built such an aura around them that teams waste time against them, especially yesterday when Villa were defending the lead. There’s nothing sinister as you permanently seem to suggest, there’s no favouritism, no corruption. They probably get more added on time, City probably do too, UTD used to, because opposing teams waste time against them. Easy really.

Complete nonsense. Every single team in the league wastes time when they’re in the lead yet when we’re chasing a game (which we frequently are) how many times do you see five minutes flash up on the board if there’s been no injuries and only two goals? Never.

Still plenty of time although I think they will batter Citeh next week, it will two attitudes
One is 'well we've won the league a few times so not really bothered
The other is all out desperation to win it

I do believe the RS are one medium to long term injury to VVD from being mediocre. They lose him for a few games and they are done for.
They are a different animal with him in the side, their most important player by miles.

Complete nonsense. We haven’t got the same aura surrounding us. How many times do we complain on here about teams being beat by them before they even kick off, teams give them far too much respect, same can be said of City too. I’ve seen teams waste time against them at 0-0. Opposing teams don’t play time wasting tactics against us that frequent, probably because they think we’re there for the taking. Teams go to Analfield with the attitude of ‘a draw will do’,

Yeah City are begging to be smashed next week with that defence. Expect a 3-0 blitz after 30 minutes followed by plenty of possession for City and hardly a glimpse at goal.

‘Haven’t got the same aura around us’ doesn’t make a damn bit of difference to the rules. If teams waste time throughout games against the top teams in the league then teams in the past like United City and Chelsea would have been having 5 mins of extra time every game regardless of the score. They haven’t though because extra time isn’t calculated that way and never has been. It’s calculated on time out for injuries and goals scored and you very rarely see more than 3 minutes added on if there hasn’t been a major injury or loads of goals except recently whenever Liverpool are behind and the default seems to be 4.

Liverpool haven’t blitzed anyone this season. They’re not that good and are giving up chances home and away to even the poorest teams. It will probably come down to who is more clinical.

not quite sure your grasping that teams will time-waste more against them and City than they would v us. Your right, that so-called ‘aura’ doesn’t make any difference to the rules, but it makes a difference to the opposing teams mentality. Are you really suggesting that UTD, Chelsea and City didn’t/don’t get lots of added time? I suggest you haven’t/didn’t watch them with the same forensic analysis as you do the RS.

Just think that City this season is a team they'll think they can get at in that opening half an hour. Needless to say I hope City prove me wrong but won't hold my breath.

You know this, yet you were still bemoaning 5 added minutes in midweek in a game that produced 10 goals and 5 or 6 substitutions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not quite sure why there was 5 mins injury time in a game with no long injury breaks.

Clock should be stopped like Rugby when the ball is out of play / subs are being made. Takes it out of the corrupt referees hands.
In other news how long before our classless neighbours start the songs about Gomes' leg? Scumbags.

Yeah, the clock should defo be stopped. It's just nonsense at the moment. Atkinson was shocking again yesterday - he's either utterly useless or just corrupt.

BTW - I've seen plenty of reds on twitter wishing Gomes a speedy recovery. It isn't always negative from the other side.
Just for balance there were blues on twitter racially abusing Son after that tackle. There are sc**bags in all walks of life. I'd prefer to call them out individually than tar them all with the same brush.

I'm really surprised this is the angle you're taking here. Kopite rat.

Explain why, with the ridiculously favourable press Liverpool get, you feel the need for balance on an Everton website about Liverpool?

I come on here to see Liverpool and its fans have the p*ss ripped out of them, I can't see it anywhere else as I already alluded to, a favourable press that refuses to call them out on anything.

They've made the Gomes injury all about themselves as usual. Apparently everton deserves everything it gets for laughing at ramos brutal assault on salah etc etc
