It’s a huge game. A Spurs win puts Liverpool firmly into a top 4 battle with Spurs Leicester us and even keeps Chelsea not that far off. It would arguably open up 2 spaces which would be great for us. City would be 10 clear if they won their next two.

In 18/19 Liverpool were 7 points clear going into week 21 of the season against City who then won that game and ended up winning the league by a point after winning 15 games in a row. It’s only week 19 now so it’s not over but the bigger that gap gets the better. A Spurs win would have them in panic stations though because then they’d be looking at having to beat West Ham away and City at home just to keep up with the top 4.

Jose knows, he will target TAA. I’m confident Tottenham will make a show of them

Burnley aren't a great side to watch but how many times have they started a season looking like they're spiralling and this is the season they drop? Quite a few but Dyche seems to find a way to sort it out every year.

Be interesting to see if the seemingly less stable Klippety can do what's required with Mentality Monsters FC.

Ancelotti lost 3 on the spin and in the midst of an injury crisis and yet settled the ship to win 5 out of 6. Let’s see if Klopp with the best squad in the league supposedly can do anything similar.

The evidence may be purely anecdotal (e.g. my memory), but I see it as they're disorganised after pre-season but then find their rhythm as the season goes on.

Burnley's strength is their ability to be organised, defensively rigid and be able to withstand the top teams; as they gain confidence, their consistency improves.

I expect Burnley to comfortably finish between 11th and 16th without any real thread of relegation because they will grind out enough results to survive.

They're far from a great team to watch, but as Burnley fan I suspect they'll be much happier being safe in this league than expansive in the Championship.

There was a moment last night when the camera was on him and he was staring at the floor. You could almost see him thinking about his future. He will walk soon enough.

I agree with Hamann: he isn't suited to Liverpool's game of a quick punt forward to the forwards. He dallies. He passes short as his first instinct.

I said last season that I think this would be klopps last season. I can see him taking over from Koeman at Barca in the summer.

While I hope you're correct, I'll always air on the side of caution and surmise that at the moment it's nothing more than a blip due to a number of factors.

If it continues, like I sincerely hope it does, we may talk about the long-term future. Still, I do agree that he currently does look clueless and one-dimensional.
