ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I guess if they looked back in 20-30 years then he would be remembered In the same way as someone like we did for Alan ball for example.

They are just bringing it forward by a couple of decades to honour him whilst he is still alive.

Bit weird while he's still playing though, at least wait until he retired.

That does seem weird though. In the whole history on man city is silva actually that significant?

As a life long City fan I can tell you that he is. He is an absolute legend at City and one of the most gifted footballers I have ever had the pleasure to watch in the flesh. He has been truly instrumental in the rise of the club and all of the trophies City have won since 2008. The press and media have never given him the credit he was due and he is a very quiet, private guy who has never looked for any publicity whatsoever at any time.
Had he played for Liverpool or United you would have never heard the end of him.
Have a look at a few of his assists on the link - and without a word of lie he used to to do that kind of stuff week in week out and he did it for 10 years on the trot. An MCFC legend without any shadow of a doubt.

Seems a bit odd in all those years he only won City's player of the year award once, level with Stephen Ireland. Was he just under appreciated all round or what?

But it's be more apt to get statues of those who really took you there. The sheiks. Face it. Denis Law back heeling united down is surely a better statue than some teachers pet. You know, manc swagger n all that.

Hes 30 odd. Will be alive a while yet. This statue just smacks of desperation and especially thos year when they were rubbish.

Pretty sure our players got slaughtered by the red echo for doing this exact same thing
the headline should be 'Lovren admits to a criminal offence and puts lives at risks by selfish thoughtless act along with thousands of other belters'

Now cmon everyone, you leave the best defender in the world alone - he just had to be with his adoring customers on the night they "won" the * shampionship that he played such a massive part in winn........oh hang on a minute.

Anyway, he felt he really needed to be near those same adoring customers that have sent him pelter after pelter over social media for years, for the numerous balls up he made?

Shame Herr Gurn pied him off to the gulag, as he fitted right in with the kult, if he thinks they actually liked him!

No wonder the criminal was guy incognito - they prob would have slabbed him had they recognised the crab.
