According to the article, Sunderland were fined, but not kicked out after fielding 4 ineligible players.
Can't see the RS being booted out (as much as I would love it).

They'd be made up to get thrown out: it'd reduce their number of games this season AND allow them to position themselves as victims again.

They were probably the source of the info on the ineligible player.

If it is as windy and horrible in Sheffield as here then I reckon Sheffield Utd might get something out of the game.
We all know that any wind is unfair on Liverpool. Cost them the title last year when they drew with us at Goodison.

Special Dispensation FC won’t be kicked out.. maybe they’ll give Sturridge an extended ban (in 5 years time).

I mean how many teams get UEFA to change the CL rulebook AND change the official website data BEFORE making the announcement?

How hard would it have been to uphold the existing rules (2005) and allow them to compete in 2005-06 “without standing” (no Coefficient based on that year’s results)? After all I can think of other teams who were denied access to European competitions for reasons that didn’t seem fair at the time.
