To be fair mate it would then be a lot more inclusive for a big section of their fans who have missed out on the “five times” bit, but would be able to raise the fingers on one hand and go “ six times lad”

Just watched MOTD (I recorded it) and it seems, even down to the last game, they were allowed an offside goal. And the narrative seems to have gone from them losing a big lead at Christmas, to them heroically chasing an invincible City side and just failing at the last gasp. Weird.

Loads of them are pro-Palestine as well, I think it's a Celtic thing. Aren't those fanbases BFFs?

I would say the Everton fanbase would be replete with pro Palestinian sentiment as well.

The way I see it.

I've lived through a European cup win. It was fine. Hard to be wound up about a trophy we have never won.

However the league title means more to them. Carries more weight and with Alex overhauling them in the prem era, that 19-18 kills them far more than winning another European cup would plug that gap

You would have thought it was Liverpool who had won the league. Even finishing second it’s still all about them. Every media station you listen to it’s an ex-red saying how great they are.

Just imagine if they had won it, it would never end even well into next season.

Those that know shut up sharpish and those that don’t I tell them to ask another rs (I’m not wasting my time telling them their own vile history). Things go nice and quiet after that.
