The way I see it.

I've lived through a European cup win. It was fine. Hard to be wound up about a trophy we have never won.

However the league title means more to them. Carries more weight and with Alex overhauling them in the prem era, that 19-18 kills them far more than winning another European cup would plug that gap

It's 20-18 at the moment.

The rate the Champions League is going the bloody league Cup will have more prestige in about 5 years.

Do I want them to win.... Of course not

But between the league or CL it is the lesser of two evils.

Be even better if they didn't win I though

Best thing that could happen so they rebadge the champions league into some sort of super league and it ends up going the way of the cup winners cup, would completely eradicate their European history.

To be fair to them, I can't think of many other seasons where 97 points wouldn't win you the League

This wasn't a case of them not being good enough but a case of City being so unbelievably great that it just didn't matter

This City side are a once in a generation thing, they truly are

I kind of wish they'd won The Quad, because they're one of the few teams I've ever seen who I could say would genuinely deserve to do it
