Turnover is the total income of a business in a set time. It's first week A-level accountancy stuff.

Media reports exclude transfers when they report the turnover results so i think this is what has confused you. Don't worry about it.
Ah Steve0 still thinking transfer fees are including in the tallied turnover result.

Someone should give you a calculator, swiss ramble's Twitter or Deloitte or Forbes website, and you can tally tv, match day and commercial of any clubs results and be amazed that when you tally those 3 it's exactly the same as the turnover result printed.

You haven't understood me. Palyer trading is part of a clubs turnover. They turn money over doing it. Turnover = Income in set period of time.

It really is that simple. You're not the brightest chap but it's a simple concept.

I’ve always liked Umbro and I like our current home kit. Apart from in the 90’s, when footy kits in general tended to be pretty zany, Umbro have always made “plain” aka classic looking stuff.

With regard to their new kit, it is nice but not nearly as nice as the 80’s Umbro kit that it takes inspiration from.

Yes i agree with you there. This is what annoys me about Umbro. Back in the 80's they made great kits. Then they made a comeback around 2009 when they were releasing some lovely, retro, plain kits.

But since they have come back here i find them really bland and boring, with nothing unique really. Same with nike and their brief tenure here.

Reports in Spain....a couple of weeks before Liverpool play Barcelona? What are the chances.

It's nonsense and Salah's agent has said as much.

I'm not sure i believe it either as Salah is clearly on the down turn and not exactly a spring chicken anymore but what would you expect his agent to say if it was true?

My head is absolutely cabbaged by folk who take this so seriously.

2009 comeback, lovely retro kits.....why even notice this, nevermind remember it a decade later?

To be fair, mate, it’s a damn sight more interesting than continually banging on about our neighbours.

Whoever their DoF is has to be right up there as one of the best if not the best in football right now.

Robertson Matip and Gomez cost peanuts and their front 3 cost less than £90 million.

Fabinho looks class when i've seen him and they plugged the weaker positions at CB and GK.

Ridiculous recruitment i begrudglingly have to admit.

Fabinho has been a failure, whenever he plays there is no solidity to their play whatsoever, they concede hatfuls of chances whenever he's in the team. He's marginally better than Keita but that's the best you can say about him.

Dont know i just remembered liking them, they did a couple of nice England ones if memory serves me. The 2010 world cup one was boss.

Wishful thinking that it could happen to a club with a £500 million turnover, they are signing with Nike for a kit deal at £80-90 million a year, they are printing money under Klopp with these CL runs and title challengers and their present owners are ex wall street hedge funders instead of ex owners who between them financially ruined 4 sports teams including Montreal Canadiens, Texas Rangers and Palmeiras.

United have a debt of £650 million right now, Chelsea have a debt owed to Abramovich for £1.2 billion, and Spurs was just reported to have a debt of £700 million for stadium costs.

You think any of those clubs will do a "Leeds", all those clubs above plus Arsenal and City are going to be in a even more lucrative closed shop Champions League in 2024-2025.

Chelsea doing a Leeds is entirely dependant on Abramovich. Definite possibility no?

United, well not much chance of a Leeds, but they have been massively hamstrung by the debt. They've not done a Leeds but they've done an Arsenal. A couple more Sanchezes etc and the Leeds scenario isn't so crazy.

Spurs, no idea about their repayment plan but the increase in gate revenue should easily cover the repayments. Haven't really been relying on CL money either so probably wasn't a part of their budget plan. Naming rights to bring in a lot and they've got prime north london real estate to flog so should be ok really.

Liverpool's stratospheric wage bill is definitely worrying. i think it was a painful £243m in last years accounts and risen dramatically since then, they need to keep selling their best players to stay solvent. They'd have recorded a massive loss if they hadn't sold their best layer to Barcelona. For me, they are on the brink far more than the other 3. Which is a shame.

they were very lucky with the coutinho deal, barca massively overpaid

To be fair mate, if i was so interested in my neighbours i signed up to their forum and spent all their time in their thread about us pretending to be a red I would refrain from making a comment like that.

You have signed up to their forum Steve. You not remember posting this...........

I'm proper obsessed with that lot. I've got an account on rawk where I pretend to be a red. I'm quite the oddball. ;)

Our wage bill will be around 85% of our turnover in the next set of accounts, While that lot will be in the region of about 50%.

I think we should be more worried about ourselves.
