ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Ajax Spurs and probably Roma in the quarters. Madrid and probably Juve and United out. Barca looking rusty as anything, City with injuries. Do people really want Liverpool to put Bayern out and go through? I’d reckon that only Barca PSG and Atletico would be able to put them out over 2 legs. Would not want to take that chance.
Agreed, momentum is huge in sport, the less they have of it the better

I can’t see him taking it tbh, the pressure to deliver will be enormous. The Madrid fans and hierarchy won’t put up with being a nearly club the way the RS will.

He’s on a cushty number there and he knows it.
Id love to see him leave though, especially if they don't win the title. Can you imagine the RS fans, they would all be sat on the steps of St Georges Hall balling their eyes out.

Ramon Calderon has said Mourinho is first choice, and has been approached.

Last thing Madrid need right now is a serial loser, Klopp has no chance unfortunately - as i'd like to see him leave them high and dry and take VVD and Salah with him.
He is the choice of Perez but the Real fans hate Jose, that would be a terrible appointment imo.

I think Klippity has very cleverly and deliberately maneuvered himself as a fans favourite / man of the people type of character. The most obvious example being last years post-defeat / early-morning revelrie in Kiev and ensuring nobody was too drunk to upload it.

The fools lapped it up of course. He did that intentionally to ingratiate and protect himself in the wake of YET ANOTHER CUP FINAL DEFEAT.

If they do fall short this year, I don't think it would have a hugely negative impact on him just yet due to how he has positioned himself.

Everything is calculated to mitigate and excuse defeat and to over-egg victory. The West Brom draw, the Pickford derby etc etc.

I hope he can stay out of the clutches of Madrid, Bayern etc.

Another year of nearly but not quite will be hugely amusing for us all, as the clan and cult turn on each other.

It will be truly a joy to watch.

Even if the draw turned out like this?

Liverpool Ajax

Spurs Roma

Atletico Barcelona

PSG City

Then the semi was this?

Liverpool Roma

City Atletico

Would you really want a scenario like that unfolding again? Where they only have to go on a mini europa league run to get to yet another CL final? No thanks. Straight out to Bayern please.
Scary reading that, you've convinced me.
