ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

They are, but Bayern will rattle a couple in against them. Bayern are the Euro royalty that shower claim to be. The real deal.

This tie is over. Mark my words.

Both Bayern Munich and Liverpool have 5 European Cups each, so they’re pretty even, in my view. Real Madrid are European royalty, as they’re streets ahead of the rest. However, I agree that Bayern will knock them out.

Let's have a nice Manchester United victory on Sunday and that should knock the wind well and truly out of their sails after their recent chance to open up a seven-point lead.

Next fixtures after that are WHU at home for City, Watford home for the RS, and then Bournemouth away for City, us away for the RS. Let's hope within the next 3 rounds of games City can open up a three-point lead and further extend their goal difference.

Next three games are critical. If Liverpool beatbus and United and get past Bayern then their momentum will be unbelievable. If they fail to do that though then they’re arguably looking at their season being over. It’s on a knife edge for them now. They can’t afford a bad performance.

Sorry thought they were romping it.Still the RS only need an away goal, and they are very capable of that.

They need a bit more than away goal. They’ve managed an away goal in 5 of there last 6 games away from Europe and not once would it have been enough to get them through the tie if they'd drew the first nil-nil.

As I said before the game, they're just not that good.

They finished 4th last year and I still think they’re the 4th best team in this country behind City, United and Spurs (finished above them 9 times in 10 years).

They’ve had a good run, loads of luck and fortune so will probably get 2nd or 3rd now but win it??? Nah. Their massively over rated and Bayern will beat them.

I thought they would anyway, I said so before the game and I’ve seen nothing to make me think otherwise.

Yep. That said, I expect the gap, at best, will be 3 points for City. Best case scenario. That's essentially us and United beating the RS and City winning next two games. More realistic is it's level, or they'll be a point ahead, as they'll beat us and can easily snatch a draw against United.

It's gonna be extremely tense going into the final 8/9 games. Too tense.

I’d have taken that scenario a few weeks ago when they were talking about going unbeaten and stretching their lead to ten points. If they lose to United their confidence will take a huge hit and the derby would become massive for them.
