ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

That nine-nil from City is going to make them feel just that bit more swaggeringly confident, isn't it? It may only have been Burton, but winning becomes a habit just as losing does. That Wolves game could prove to be a bad, bad mistake.

One feels Klopp knows that himself, as his pathetic claim after the game that ALL of his missing players were out because they were injured or ill would seem to suggest.

Good times may be just around the corner, my friends. It makes me happy, when skies are grey...

The only thing they care about, and therefore likely to ruffle them is premier league results. Klopp effectively threw the cup even admitting that he didn’t think his lineup could win. I don’t think that loss or any of City’s cup wins will bother them, the same way they glossed over the CL losses and going out of the league cup. The one that stung was City’s prem win. If Brighton can just perform like an ok premier league side at home it could be enough to get a draw against them. If that happened they’d be in full on January crisis mode. If it’s another 4-0 walkover with Salah getting pens for dives, offsides not being given, Brighton missing sitters from a yard, every deflection flying past the keeper, then they’ll believe that nothing has changed and the cup sacrifice was worth it. Hughton needs to have Brighton organised this weekend as the points are there for the taking if they perform effectively.

Brighton are dire. They will get spanked about 3-0.

The loan move for Tarkowski is an odd rumour. Why would a bottom half side fighting relegation loan out their most valuable player just to patch up a short term hole in one of the top 6?
