Agreed the ones I know feel like that , they’ll take it if they win the league obviously but aren’t totally convinced .
despite some of the mental gymnastics being made to paint this as victory in defeat (yet again), it all matters, momentum in sport is huge and if they get dumped out by Bayern that is another crucial mental blow for a team that has yet to cross over that white line once. These set backs may not stop them winning the league, but the idea that they will help them win the league is utter lunacy

I think if they had won or drawn against city it’d have been more understandable to me personally now they’ve lost two consecutive games whatever way they paint it . Lose to Brighton or even draw they’ve not won in three , even a win it’s one win in three . Exactly as you say momentum is huge and I think it’s at best a risky strategy.

Make no mistake, that City loss has massive implications. Say they win that, they are 10 points ahead, that league is done and City know it, and that win would drive them forward. From there they could afford to have a real shot at the cup as well and play a stronger team last night, but because of City pulling it back to 4 points they are more worried.
Without that 10 point gap Klopp felt he had to rest players, but with it I think he takes the cup more serious. No they are out of the cup, which puts even more pressure on for the league, they are going to blow this, i just know it

Just had the old net spend argument from a Kopite. It is something I have never got on board with to be honest, whether it is from player sales or shirt sales a rich club is a rich club and they have spent a world record for 2 positions.

You would half expect a team that has spent like that would be able to compete on 3 fronts.

Klipperty is really irritated. After the City game he was cranky and looked under pressure. The job of a great manager is to keep it all calm when things go against but I don't think he's handling this well. I watched the game last night and I thought Wolves played really well second half the RS were well beaten. Klipperty looked in a foul mood. If he had come out and said they were beaten by a better team and had a smile on his face I think that would suggest its all good in the camp but it doesn't look that way to me.
