ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Looking at their fixtures they've got Cardiff, Huddersfield and Newcastle for 3 of the last 4 games. On paper that's perfect for the RS and in all honesty, Huddersfield will probably be done, and the mags will likely roll over if they are looking secure, but it's possible all 3 will be fighting for their lives at that point. You'd really want a run of well safe mid table sides with their feet up.

The Kopite who does the fixture list really set them up. Meanwhile, somehow or other we have all those tricky home games against sides going for glory. How can you explain such an unfortunate run of home games. Five on the trot. The odds of that were 1936/1

He usually gives them a big game at home within the last 3 or 4 fixtures for their grand coronation, but he’s sacked that off this year in favour of the safe option.

With all these corrupt decisions going there way I'm afraid to say it but I think they'll definitely finish at least 3rd this season. Maybe even second. Not a fare reflection of the league but that's what happens when an average team is backed by officials.

I didn't see Klopp give out about being awarded an offside goal but I'm sure it was brilliant watching the journo rip him to shreds about raising that as an issue???

It started going wrong for them at that Wolves game, he played a jarg side and lost the winning mentality, since then they have been all over the place

Nothing to do with that, dropping out of the cup was smart (losing in the league Cup didn't effect them) ...

There's a few reasons:
Every team generally has a blip in form at some point in the season.
Losing Alexander-Arnold, and having to play Milner (Henderson) there, has weakened there right side, no pace to counter teams that that wing (and Liverpool counter attack a lot).

Lack of squad depth... They rely on the same players every week (no room for squad rotation)... City can freshen their team up, Liverpool have championship players on their bench...

Opposition... They seem to finally be having a go at Liverpool... Palace deserved better, but maybe they gave other teams belief that Liverpool aren't all that.

Pressure....to win a league you gotta handle the pressure that comes with that, alot of players can't....the next 4 weeks will show if Liverpool can...

...only a Reds manager could blame the referee for being against because he awarded them a goal for being blatantly offside. You couldn’t write the script.

I remember when they blamed VAR for going out of the FA cup to Weat Brom even though it had actually given them a penalty and ruled out a West Brom goal. Klopp doesn’t let the facts get in the way of firing up the propaganda machine though. He’ll be using it as much as possible now tompressure referees. The mistake of Friend was that he didn’t give Liverpool enough wrong decisions to let them win. Klopp will hang out any referee who doesn’t in the media from now on in. It takes a strong ref to stand up against them.

I like Pellegrini. I always thought City were a bit unfair to him and he's doing a decent job with the Spam.

His football in 13/14 was brilliant (which people forgot in amongst all of the premature crowning of Liverpool as champions). Even that game at Anfield that Liverpool won City absolutely played them off the park and got done by a smash and grab. At the start of that season City were just mauling everyone.
