No it wouldn't. If they get knocked out of CL they'd be in Europa league which means playing on a Thursday night and then Sundays in the league. That's a far worse position to be in. Means they;d constantly be chasing City who'd be playing on Saturdays most of the time.

If they get europa league do you think they will treat it as serous as champions league.
