So what happens when they buy the RS for £2bn run them into the ground then another team comes through to become a threat to city? Do they buy them as well and ruin them until city are the only ones left?

The sad fact is that if the RS were to get investment even a minority one from the middle East it would take them to another level.

Thinking otherwise is pure denial.

They have a worldwide fanbase 2nd only to United I think.

From a business POV, they are a dream.
The original Sky 4 from pre Man City being minted days are still far and away the biggest clubs in the US. I'd say Chelsea are second to United then Liverpool and Arsenal kind of level behind that but regardless City, Spurs, Us and anyone else are playing a game of catch up.

What happened to that rs pictured with the hammer before the Roma game? Did'nt the echo originally claim it was a Roma fan, but then when corrected, they pulled the story. Not seen anything mentioned since, just the charges against Roma fans. Mind you, impartial reporting would be needed and that's not the Echo.

It’s interesting that the only arrests appear to be Roma fans . Like with the coach I was thinking that the police were collating info to arrest a few one early morning but in both cases that now seems unlikely .

Allison has t been tested, Keita misplacing passes all over the shop, Fabinho struggling massively and nowhere near the first team, Shaqiri is, well, Shaqiri.

Just how bad a window was it for them? A few injuries and they’ll be fortunate to get top 6. Then god knows what’ll happen.

Can’t seem to shift the deadwood, debt keeps growing. No wonder they’re looking to sell.

In fairness Allison is a good keeper and definitely an upgrade on what they had.

Keita looks a player, but even Klopp admitted post match on Monday that he’s a bit of a loner, which tally’s with what I’d heard about him before they signed him. He’s apparently extremely sensitive and high maintenance.
Fabinho is a slug, no idea why they signed him, I’ve seen milk turn quicker. He makes Carvalho look agile.

As for Shaqiri, he’s a good player on his day, and could be a useful impact player. However, he’s also got a massive ego and I doubt he’ll accept being a bit part player there over time. He’s got ‘dressing room hand grenade’ written all over him. I give it a couple of months before he’s cry arseing in the press about spending his life on the bench.

Ultimately if you take Salah and the ball over the top for the quick lad, out of that side, then they’re decent but nothing special. The hype is in overdrive and their self entitled fans expectations are now way beyond just a top 4 finish. I said ages ago that this will be Klopps last season at the pit and I stand by that. As they’ll fall short and he’ll move on before the pressure gets beyond what he can stomach.
