On a more serious note, I think Everton are really on an upward trajectory as compared to any other point in their history in this century. If Everton can sort out their board level issues, and give Silva time, Everton and Liverpool competing for the top prize would be great for Merseyside, though I always hope you come in second behind us.

Judging by your post you have absolutely no idea about English football and you’ve only heard of Merseyside from NBC/Bein sports. You are almost certainly an armchair fan.

Some of the posts here were quite frankly embarrassing as @JLW pointed it out. They won the biggest club competition for the 6th time and there are posts saying Spurs were bad or if it had been Barcelona they would have been tonked 5-0. There was also a tweet saying that the bus had an expired MOU. Or that if a team that got 4th place won the champions league, then this is just a glorified Carabao cup with a fancy tune. Carabao Cup? Local rivalry, to me, is all about ensuring that my team outperforms the local rival. I currently live in a city where there are 4 football clubs in a 50km radius. One from the 1st division. Two from the 2nd and one from the 3rd. I support one of them in the 2nd division and demand that they perform to the levels of the club from the 1st division. Because to me what happens to my club is more important than belittling the failures of the local rival. If my club aims to replicate the team from the 1st division, then I shouldnt be belittling the failures of the 1st division club. I should take lessons and be critical of my club. Please feel free to correct me on this. I will gladly stand corrected.

I don't know about making you "stand corrected"....what the bleedin' hell does that last paragraph translate as ??? Do you live in England ….hard to tell, judging by the designation of your "Divisions". Or are you speaking hypothetically ?

What a crazy statement to try and look positive, they've completely missed the main story behind those stats, that's like saying
- abusive alcoholic husband hasn't hit his wife as much since he stopped boozing

@davek - I see your point too of course. The owners are at fault.
I've said it all along that Mosh is a fraud and I think I'll be proven right in time.

There a bunch of knobheads and I take great delight in pulling the piss out of them when they are reactionary/ loose games, honestly they make it too easy.

Am I bitter godamn right I am however I have teeth, a functioning brain, 10 fingers and toes and I don’t finger me mar. I can hate them and revel in there demise and if I want not be bothered by them.

Even in their finest hour though they’re still ruthlessly calculative about money. Whoever told salah to wear that ‘never give up’ t shirt was a genius. Then of course Klopp had his completely premeditated cringey singing afterwards which of course they’ll splash all over a load of merchandise too to milk the most stupid fan base in the world even more. They can’t even enjoy a cup win authentically without trying to position something in the market.

Imagine the execs at City telling Guardiola to drop some key phrases into his post match interview for marketing purposes, or Mourinho, or Conte. They’d tear that shot a new one. Klopp and Salah are all about that though, brand me me me.
