I’m not defending anything or anyone. I’m merely pointing out, on occasion, how ridiculous I think some of the stuff posted in this thread is.

The rabid hatred of all things Liverpool Football Club that comes across in some of the posts is, in my opinion, well over the top. I’d like to think that it’s just people venting on an Internet forum and that they don’t carry on like that in real life, but I’m not so sure. Generally speaking, I hate what our rivalry with them has become and long for how it was when I was growing up. It’s poisonous now.

Oh Stop. This thread is my favourite thing in here. It's like how I imagine an AA meeting to be - keeping it real and normal on the outside but inside LET IT ALL OUT! I can indulge my bitter blueness in all its glory here and it's also funny as fk. Lighten up.

I'm old enough to remember the Everton Are Tragic comments, the European ban (where they cost us 2 European Cups), their shameful treatment of Bill Shankly after he left them and I revel in every epic failure and faux pas they make.

In other news, I'm a sane rational human being with a decent job, a law degree, a pet cat, two rescues sheep that live in my garden and a deep love for prawn madras curry. Not weird or psychotic at all.
