They way Liivepool fans talk about Hillsborough these days is often quite sick, its like the familes of the victims and those who were directly affected by it are no longer as important, but its all about the football club and team rivalry, to me Hillsborough was a human tragedy and nothing to do with football.
It was more than a tragedy what happened before, during and after was a travisty, the day it happened we were at Villa park and heard the match had been delayed, asked a policeman what had happened" you scousers causing trouble as usual" was the answer we got,at the end of the game we were going back to our lift and asked another copper, basically got the same answer,we went to Nuneaton after none the wiser, eventually got back to Liverpool around 1 in the morning and went straight to bed bevvied, woke up the next morning went for the Sunday papers and seen a picture on the front of people dead, its the only time I have cried over football, the final was the only time I didnt care about beating them,in my eyes it shouldnt have been played
I know lads that were there that day,one commited suicide after suffering from depression,3 have never been to a game since and have no interest in football, these are lads that dedicated every second and every penny following Liverpool, one of them wont go to concerts, race meeting, anywhere theres a crowd, after all the evidence and reports there are still people who point the finger and make accusations about what they say is the real "truth",that will never changebut is that different to the likes of Solomon Grundy and his lies? Why do none of the lurkers pull him up over it?
