And Salah lashes in a transfer request as he 'wants to win trophies' and now your talking..
Somehow they will still find a great striker to replace him though, the only thing I envy about that club is there ability to attract quality strikers, they have always had one that seems to carry the team.

Salah
Suarez
Torres
Owen
Fowler

No matter how naff their team, there's always someone at the top that keeps them in the hunt for top 4. The rest of their scatter gun approach is always a laugh though, Balotelli, Carroll, Lambert and the likes are just whatever's available. I guess if they buy enough players one will normally be quality.

A good striker hides a multitude of problems. Lukaku being a prime example. Absolute travesty that we made no real effort to replace him.

Totally agree, he was the only decent striker we have had in decades. Though I still think that Andy Johnson could of been great for us if a) he was ever given some of the many penalties he should of got and b) tactically he was used a bit differently.
We seem, to have gone on forever not focusing at all about the end where the exciting happens. Sigurdsson or Gomez can pick out a pass... but to who?

He seems annoyed that coaches have twigged on that if you nullify them in the first half at Anfield they don’t have much else. Either that or he’s annoyed that his complete lack of a plan B hasn’t been glossed over by yet another deflection or controversial penalty.
Not every club has a clown in goal who can ruin our season with a stupid mistake in the 96th minute. It's only us who seem to give them stupid goals and fear them. Red Star Belgrade didn't fear them in the slightest and they won. Also Bayern fans managed to out sing them and their wonderful fans.

This lot trying to convincde themselves that 0-0 was the result they were going for last night.

FFS, they are beyond a cult.

They built themselves up for a 4-0 walkover. Take them back to last summer when they were beating chumps on the way to the final. Reality smacked them in the face when a Bayern side not even in form contained them with ease on their own patch. Now they’re hastily rewriting the narrative. They got giddy from last year but the reality is that any of Juve Real Barca Bayern PSG and probably Atletico would have put them out with ease over two legs last season. They blitzed past a few europa league teams then had half an hour against City where everything they hit went in. For the rest of the tie they got pummelled but benefitted from two legitimate goals disallowed and one offside one given for them. They were then dismantled by Real but have managed to airbrush that too. Bayern was a cruel reminder for them of last seasons failure and that it wasn’t the hard luck story they have now spun up. ‘We battered them until Salah went off’. PSG were the same. Clubs like them Real and Bayern don’t lie down and surrender as soon as you’ll never walk alone is played and the RS hate that as they have to then confront the truth that these teams are just better than them and they got to last seasons final by deign of an unbelievable run of poor quality teams. An orderly exit against a superior Bayern would completely depress their delusions of grandeur.

Anyone wanting them to go through just so they'll have more games is mental. Roma and Porto are both useless, and one of them will go through. Tottenham are likely through, and Liverpool usually get good results against them. Liverpool have had mixed results against PSG already this season, who are almost certainly through, and could definitely beat them over 2 legs.

I want these rats out of this competition ASAP. My health does not need to be put through what is was last summer. Even though the end result was glorious, I don't want to roll that particular dice again.

Bayern, please kill these off and cripple their confidence.

Amen to all that. I want them absolutely pummelled at the nearest opportunity

There's no arguing against that!

It's why I;ve been of the mind all along this season that I'd like to see them go on to maybe even the SF stage (by a favourable draw obviously). They'd go out at that stage against any bona fide Euro power, and the extra games would have been difficult for them with the PL in mind too. That's why I wouldn't mind if they sneaked the return against Bayern. We can kill two birds with one stone if they progress two stages further.
