Even outside of their PL opponents, they are loathed by tons of fans from all sorts of clubs. The reason? Many and varied, but chief is that football supporters are many things. But thick and naive they aint.

Let Jim White et al preach that "Its an ENGLISH team, you should be behind them" crap. That tit is from Glasgow, and should know better.

Dont know if you live in Liverpool, I dont. But I can assure you that the media pushed "Liverpool are great" narrative is laughed at.

Mates missus has been on the phone to my wife, worried sick about him in Kiev after last nights attack. Being the compassionate type I sent him a text to let him know I’d pop round to see her on the way home from work as I’m finishing early.
Seems he doesn’t trust me as he’s been on the phone to her every 5 minutes all afternoon checking on her. I’ve managed to ruin his day and he’s spent a fortune on calls...
I wouldn’t mind, she’s hideous, I wouldn’t ride her into battle.

They do have a wide support, no doubt.

But I know fans of both Bristol clubs, a few Scottish ones, Yeovil, Ipswich, Villa, christ, loads. And to a man, they just dont get taken in by the BBC/Sky BS. Believe you me.

They are not liked. Some for reasons members on here would be offended by, but in the main its BECAUSE they get the media treatment we see.

Hours away from going bankrupt, Moores’ and his xxxxl leather coat sold them out to other yanks who cheated the EU out of €ms by putting the ceremonial spade in the Park but had never paid it back, destroyed house prices in L4 by their undisclosed housing buyback and tinning up programme, brought in BA’s Chairman to find a buyer, prostituted themselves and ended up being an investment vehicle for Boston’s Baseball Clubs owners.

Don’t attempt to clean up their season ticket membership, is it 18k names own 25k tickets?

Have a slower ticket waiting list than Michael Keane’s Turning circle - infiltrate every media outlet with failed no marks - sell a dream of being different. Yet punt every ticket possible to Travel Cook and the selfie stick idiots who are today’s consumers.

Aye, they are special all right. A lot of my mates support them - not sure what they did wrong in school to deserve that - but once you peel back the wrapper, they represent everything that’s wrong with football. Hope they get humiliated tomorrow....even if that were to happen it’ll be spun into some kind of success.
