Did anyone see the Arsenal fans booing and cheering Emmanuel Eboue off the pitch on Match of the Day? Well if you didnt, he has just come back from a 2 month injury, comes on as a sub left wing and to be fair has a shocker of a game. Wenger then decides to bring him off, and virtually the whole stadium started cheering and then started to boo. Never have I ever seen a player being treated so badly by his own supporters, it was a disgrace. He looked close to tears walking off, and a couple of the Arsenal players were trying to console him.

That's Arsenal support and that's crap but I repeat myself.

Shocking.

Has that ever happened to an Everton player in recent times?

No it hasn't happened to any of our players. People give stick out, most notably towards Phil Neville but the whole stadium has never turned on one player like the Arsenal fans did. The one thing I hate about some Evertonians is the fact that for 90 minutes they slate Phil Neville, but Arteta (for the past season and a half) does not perform and nothing is said!

Alex Nyarko, a fan did try to swap shirts with him during a game at Arsenal. Probably slightly worse than being boo'ed off the pitch. He was extremely poor for £4.5m but Arsene Wenger and Gerard Houllier were huge fans of his claiming that we had landed a 'potentially outstanding midfielder'.

Big difference is though mate, that was one fan. Not about 60,000 (y)

Watched it this morning on the repeat of MOTD. Shocking treatment he got by the Arsenal fans. Don't think he did anything to deserve that abuse. These so called fans should really be ashamed of themselves.(n)

I seen this at the weekend absolutely shocking it was, you had to feel sorry for the guy, he couldn't do anything right as soon as he came on.

Although the challenge on Toure then the pass to a wigan player was a joy to behold.

I really question why he was brought on in the 1st place.

Always thought Eboue was a right-back or at a stretch, a solid defensive minded midfielder - a left winger?... Not by anyone's measure.

Wenger had Vela, Bendtner and Ramsey on the bench;

Vela played left wing for Osasuna in La Liga last season against some of the best sides in Europe.
Ramsey's much more a Nasri type attacking midfielder.
Bentner could've gone up front with the left-footed, skilful and speedy van Persie taking over from Nasri.

Wenger cocked up - should've booed him, his incompetence almost cost them another match this season.
