E-Ticketing - a good story

Since everyone has been happy to record as much negativity about the service received from Everton I thought that I would report a postive e-ticketing story.

I have been a member since October 2007 (yes, I had to check), but when I tried to book my ticket for Hull (wanted to do this so I could see my seat) I could not log onto my acount.

I decided to phone the "Fan, Line" not expecting anything. They could not have been more helpful and fixed the problem so I am now going to the game in the Park end.

I have emailed them to thank them, as we are often too quick to criticise. BTW When I booked there were 3 Park Lane tickets left on the screen.

For those who like a bit of negativity, I can say that when I tried to book a ticket, it was at £46 so I left it until I had secured a ticket, by the time I had sorted the e-ticketing issues the cheapest return went up to £59. I should have got the ticket first. But then that was my fault and not Everton's.

Well my Dad has just brought a ticket, [Poor language removed] e-ticketing wouldnt work but then again the phone call took around 2 minutes.

OK, smarties, Park End. Happy now???:lol:

Last time I walked down the Park Lane (yes the one in London) I was so scared as there were so many good looking cars I half expected the police to jump out of a doorway and question me about trying to nick one.

Good post Black Toffee as many of us are quick to criticise the club but really never speak up when good things do occur.

Well, nice to hear a good story, but there really are issues to complain about.

For example, I still can't log into an account at EFC Ticketing (because it's never been authorised from when they changed it over) and I can't create a new one because it says my details are already in the system.

I haven't received any replies to several polite emails about this and had previously just contacted the box office by phone when I needed to.

So I'm trying to sort out a ticket for the Arsenal match which went on general sale today and a recorded message on the (new?) phone number tells me that "this international number you have dialled is not in service in the country you are calling" despite the fact that it details the international number on the website. So now I can't book online and I can't phone and now I'm reduced to my last method which is email.

I had exactly the same problem minus the international phone number. My old password was 3 letters long. When they upgraded the password became a minimum of six words. So I couldn't log in because it didn't recognise my short password, and I couldn't sort out a new account becuase I was already registered.

Yes I could have used the fan line, but I wanted to see where I would be sitting, and only e-ticketing affords me that luxury.

Sorry you can't get through, but assuming that you can, so long as you have your customer number, they can (eventually, I had to speak to two peple) re-set your password. I actually tried my new password while on the line to ensure that it worked properly.

Just to add to the international phone call saga, this is from the official 0871 site:

Can these numbers be dialled from abroad?
Unfortunately, it is not possible for any responsible operator to give a definitive yes or no answer.
Whether or not someone abroad can call these numbers is dependant on the Network Carrier they are using e.g. AT&T, France Telecom etc, rather than the Country itself.
If you are expecting large numbers of calls from overseas, we would recommend you add a line on your website/literature that says something like 'if you are calling from outside the UK please contact us on +44 208 123 1234 ..etc'
Please remember that callers outside the UK will need to dial the non-geographic number in it's international format e.g. +44 871 123 1234.

Anyone got a real live Liverpool number for the box office?
