2025/26 Dwight McNeil

John Percy reported for The Telegraph’s print edition on Monday that Moyes will sanction a deal for the winger to join Forest, although this will be delayed with Ndiaye playing for Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Current Forest and former Everton boss Dyche has managed McNeil in L4 and at Burnley, and wants to offer the former England Under-21 international a fresh start at the City Ground

Would be just our luck if this is a moment Percy is wrong!

Who is on their LW apart from CHO?

Percy is meant to be a top source isnt he? Think he broke McNeil joining?
They have a number of options going forward Zat, Ndoye has played on the left in games this season for example, guys like Igor Jesus can play across the front three, then there is Hutchinson, Bakwa, CHO, Dominguez and some others. They have plenty of options if need be, I don't see what they would want with McNeil tbh, he certainly is a step down from what they currently have.

If anyone was to be believed it would be Percy and Ornstein i think so lets see.

It’s worth noting that the Telegraph was very recently bought by the Daily Mail owner. I would be wary of the Telegraph from now on, it’s such a lazy and easy link to fill column inches.
In anything to do with world news it's horrendous right wing slop designed to stir up trouble and full of lies.

It might slide that way in sports reporting too but for now at least their senior journalists are very connected with clubs etc

If he is considered to be not yet at the relevent level of ability, then yes a loan would be advantageous. (though if that's the case then we shouldn't have signed him)
The post I replied to suggested that he is not being picked because he is "struggling to settle" here. Exactly how a loan would help with that I have no idea. 🤷‍♂️
Anyhow this is the Dwight Mcneil thread (and he seems the only one likely to gain from the situation)
I'm in the, we shouldn't have signed him camp, not necessarily because there isn't a player there, just that we aren't in the position to pay that amount for a player who's looking like he won't contribute much this season. At least if he does well in a loan to a Championship side we might recoup some of the fee.
